Rafter Clyde II, Aurora, Indiana

Builder's statement:
"The Clyde is our family boat, my son Frank and I built her over the past 11 years. She is diesel powered, 48' long and [was] docked at the Alma Marina in Alma Wisconsin. Named after the Rafter Clyde, the first iron hulled steamboat on the western rivers. My grandfather Frank Newcomb was pilot on her, back in the early 1900's." - E.C.Newcomb

Don Sanders now owns the vessel and moved her from Alma, Wisconsin, to Aurora, Indiana. Watch a news clip about Rafter Clyde's journey on the Ohio and Mississippi River, Local 12 TV, January 21, 2013.
